Abstract

Latar Belakang: Proses perkembangan anak remaja tidak pernah lepas dari peran keluarga. Tipe pola asuh terhadap anak yang tepat dari dini akan mempengaruhi kepribadian anak di masa mendatang.

Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisia hubungan persepsi anak remaja tentang pola asuh orang tua dengan kepribadian anak remaja di SMP Negeri 7 Brebes.

Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain survey dengan metode Cross Sectional. Alat yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuesioner persepsi remaja tentang pola asuh orang tua dan kepribadian remaja, dengan jumlah sampel 59 responden siswa kelas 8.

Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan distribusi frekuensi pada variabel tersebut yang mayoritas pada kategori “cukup”, yaitu sebanyak 35 responden (59,3%) dan pada variabel epribadian anak mayoritas pada kategori “cukup”, yaitu sebanyak 27 responden (45,8%). Selanjutnya, diketahui bahwa hubungan antara variabel persepsi anak remaja tentang pola asuh orang tua dengan variabel kepribadian anak remaja di SMP Negeri 7 Brebes berdasarkan pada hasil uji Kendall’s Tau menunjukkan nilai signifikansi atau Sig. (2tailed) sebesar 0,012 (< 0,05), yang diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi (Correlation Coefficient) sebesar 0,303*, yang terdapat hubungan antara kedua variable memiliki tingkat keeratan yang cukup kuat pada nilai signifikansi 0,05.

Kesimpulan: Peran orang tua dirasakan penting untuk menciptakan pengasuhan anak dalam keluarga sehingga anak terhidar dari keterlantaran, sebagai pendorong atau motivator bagi sebagian besar responden dalam kehidupannya untuk mencapai masa depan yang mereka inginkan. menciptakan pengasuhan anak dalam keluarga sehingga anak terhidar dari keterlantaran.

Abstract

Background: The process of adolescent growth and development is never separated from the role of the family. The right parenting pattern for children from an early age will affect the child's personality later on.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between adolescent perceptions of parenting patterns and adolescent personality at SMP Negeri 7 Brebes.

Methods: This study uses a survey design with the Cross Sectional method. The tool used in this study is a questionnaire about adolescent perceptions of parenting patterns and adolescent personality, with a sample size of 59 respondents of grade 8 students.

Results: The results of the study showed that the frequency distribution of variables was mostly in the "sufficient" category, namely 35 respondents (59.3%) and the child's personality variable was mostly in the "sufficient" category, namely 27 respondents (45.8%). Furthermore, it is known that the relationship between the variables of adolescent children's perceptions of parental parenting patterns and the variables of adolescent children's personality at SMP Negeri 7 Brebes based on the results of the Kendall's Tau test showed a significance value or Sig. (2tailed) of 0.012 (<0.05) which obtained a correlation coefficient value of 0.303 * which indicates that the relationship between the two variables has a fairly strong level of closeness at a significance value of 0.05.

Conclusion: The role of parents is considered important to create child care in the family so that children are protected from negligence, as a driver or motivator for most respondents in their lives to achieve the desired future. creating child care in the family so that children are protected from negligence.
